Event Producer by Day, Blogger by Night

I just wrapped up my third Super Bowl in a row and I couldn't help but fall off the face of the earth on social media because of how crazy busy I was!

For those of you who don't know, I'm a full-time Event Producer, and with that, comes long hours and long work weeks. Sometimes the crazy work schedule has me missing meals, showers (gross...I know!), and everything in between.

Being that I just started blogging only about seven months ago, I've found some challenges with finding enough time to do EVERYTHING. Obviously, doing everything is impossible, but, I want to at least try!

HERE'S THE TEA:

"Normally," my work schedule is Monday - Friday, 9am-6pm. I say "normally" because there's always something that needs to get done that can end up pushing you WAY past a normal 40-hour week. During Super Bowl week alone, I put in 90 hours while I was in Atlanta!!! CRAY! I was juggling requests from our entertainment team while also trying to carve out time for my latest collaboration with MVMT. Those sunnies and that watch I'm wearing in all of these photos were gifted to me...thanks MVMT. I'm in love with them!

Weekends and my time after work are the only times that I have for myself. But even then, I'm still trying to jam-pack my weekends with content creation, blogger babe meet-ups, personal relationships, family, and me time! In other words, there's no days off OKURRR! #bossbabes

In the last seven months, I've been so eager to grow and develop my personal brand that sometimes I forget to take a step back and enjoy the "now." Life moves so fast that it's easy to get lost and get caught up in all the work. Here are some things I've learned along the way about managing a professional and personal life for the 2019 Boss Babe!

WHAT I'VE LEARNED:
  1. Time Management: Buy a planner! Keep track of all your deadlines/events because you want to make sure your work/content product isn't suffering at any of your jobs by stretching yourself too thin. I got a super cute and effective one from ban.do ! TIP: Include fun things that aren't work!

  2. Be Mindful: I know it can be cool and fun to receive free items/products from brands but you have to be mindful of not only their deadlines and if you can meet them, but also the quality you can produce for them and if it fits within your personal brand.

  3. Plan Ahead: All good things take time and care. Set yourself goals. If you know you're going to have a busy work week, plan out that weeks content ahead of time.

  4. Be Yourself: It sounds cheesy but it's true! Stay true to yourself because no one else can be a better you and that's what sets you apart!

Everybody has their own ways of staying organized and away from all the madness, but these were a few things that helped me stay on top of everything! Hope they can help you too!

Always dancy, always wavy
