I’m super excited about this as it’s all I’ve talked about for the past year and half and I can’t wait to see what this new world is all about! I go by Debby and consider myself a modern lover of life and things!

I’m based in Los Angeles and will focus my posts on all the yummy food we’re spoiled with, wellness, style, concerts & festivals, travel, fitness and my collaborations with brands…some of my favorite things.

To start off, you must know that I LOVE music.

I know everyone always says this, but I REALLY LOVE IT. I will go to every concert, free show or music festival there is even if I don’t know some of the artists because music makes me happy.

No, I don’t sing or have any real natural talent with music, but I truly appreciate those who do and the way it makes me feel.

With this being my first post on my blog, I thought what better way to start it off than to write about my all-time favorite music festival, COACHELLA.

My first Coachella was seven years ago in 2012…. Jeez does that sound like ages ago or what?!

Headliners back then included: Swedish House Mafia, The Black Keys, Radiohead, David Guetta, Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg, Calvin Harris, Kaskade, Afrojack and Explosions in the Sky. Some of the up and coming acts included The Weeknd, La Roux, Mike Snow, Fitz and the Tantrums, Zedd, Childish Gambino, Frank Ocean and Avicii.

I still remember the adrenaline rush I felt when first entering the palm tree-surrounded field and passing by the famous ferris wheel… A ferris wheel that I STILL HAVEN’T GONE ON after all these years!

I get chills every time I think about Frank Ocean’s set and how he hit every high note perfectly. So perfect that it sounded even better than what’s recorded on his album.

I remember running up to Swedish House Mafia’s set at Main Stage and feeling like my heart was about to burst from excitement and how happy I was to see them live for the first time.

Avicii’s performance was unbelievable. He performed inside this massive white skull underneath the Sahara Tent, a much smaller tent than what was there this past year.

I made friendships and memories I’ll never forget, and I’ve continued growing my love for music and festivals for all of the reasons above.

Seven years later, I see how much music remains a constant in my life and how important it is because it brings people together and connects us through that song or moment.

Coachella has been through it all with me. Started off by going with just one girlfriend, then it grew to going with about 15 people at one point. One thing that always remains constant across the years is that no matter what goes on or what happens in between, Coachella seems to always mark the beginning of a new year for me.

It’s my happiest place on earth, as cheesy and corny as that sounds.

Some of my 2018 favorite acts included: Kygo, Alison Wonderland, The Black Madonna, MØ (who brought out Diplo as well), Fleet Foxes, LANY and ODESZA (who was my all-time favorite of the weekend).

I hope you enjoy my journey through this thing called life and can’t wait to follow yours!

Always Wavy
